Landscaping
We are extremely proud of our landscaping portfolio. We help realise customers' vision for their gardens and outdoor spaces, contributing as much as they need in the design phase, then taking full control of all elements of the building process.
We complete decking, patios, retaining walls and everything else needed to help a garden reach its full potential.
Complete Garden Overhaul
We took a garden which was previously split in two with a brick wall, and redesigned it into a fully usable open space, with lots of seating areas and clearly defined paths. Time was spent to get heights and the feel of the garden just how the customer wanted.
New fencing and a driveway widening were completed first to define the boundaries of the space, and then extensive concrete foundations were poured to create a super strong patio.
We created a balance of soft and hard spaces, with lovely shingled areas to minimise maintenance, but still areas of grass and plants to greenify the space and allow wildlife to also enjoy the improvements too.
Larch Pergola
This house in the Kent Downs has a fantastically expansive view across the countryside. To make use of this, they installed a patio, then asked us to erect a large pergola to complete the space.
The main plan is to have plants growing up the pergola, but it also allows for the hanging of subtle lighting and just makes the area feel even cosier, especially with the way the house wraps around it on three sides.
Full Garden Redesign
The previous garden had been somewhat torn apart by the resident dog, which seemed a good time to go for a full garden refresh.
The old patio and shed were removed to make way for a full width porcelain patio with drainage, keeping water away from the house and making cleaning easy. A large sleeper bed sits off to the side, next to a built in wooden seating bench, both of which offset the stone and brick, to soften the patio area.
Brand new, high quality artificial grass was laid on a fresh prepared sub-base, with a custom timber framed edge, to give extra protection against the energetic dog scratching up the grass.
Patio and Landscaping
This client loved the outdoors and already had a couple of different seating areas throughout a relatively large garden. They wanted a solid patio added to their repertoire, mainly for for hosting and barbecuing.
We used oak sleepers (protected with waterproof paint underground) to border the patio and laid a path around the house with the same slabs to integrate the patio fully into the rest of the garden and house.
We also used oak sleepers to top some of the rendered walls around the garden, which make for great spontaneous seating for grandchildren, as well as a feature planting area built around some oak sleeper steps.
Wrap Around Deck
This customer had recently downsized from a house to a static lodge, but wanted to create a sense of space for both her and her lovely dog.
We designed a wrap around deck with handrail to create some privacy, but also allow her dog to freely roam into the garden too. A special ramp just for him was a key part of the project, which he now uses every day.
We built an extremely strong structure, with longevity in mind every step of the way. The deck was stained and the tops of all joists covered in protective tape, to allow the deck to last as long as possible.
